Challenge

Jet fuel quality is a go / no-go question: one batch with free water or particles can ground aircraft and put the airport’s operating approval at risk. The fuel farm had to prove that every litre leaving it is clean and dry, see the condition of every filter element at a glance, and change elements without stopping operations for a shift — in frost, wind and summer heat.
Solution

AVRON designed and built an open skid with a weather roof: a pump unit, staged filter vessels with a filter water separator, differential pressure gauges and transmitters on every stage, and explosion-proof control boxes. The skid was assembled and tested at our plant before shipment.
  • Pump unit with explosion-proof motor
  • Staged filter vessels and filter water separator
  • Differential pressure gauges and transmitters on each stage
  • Sampling points and air eliminators
  • Explosion-proof control boxes
  • Open skid with weather roof
