Terminal automation that runs every bay by the rules
Automation
Our own control system — PLC logic, bay panels and operator software — runs loading, unloading and additive dosing at each bay and across the terminal, and passes every batch into your accounting.

What the system does
One control system for the whole facility
  • Safety interlocks
Loading starts only when every permissive is confirmed: tanker grounding, overfill sensor, arm in the hatch, gangway lowered, product temperature — up to 20–30 interlocks per bay.
  • Accurate batch control
Two-stage (high/low flow) valves stop loading exactly at the set volume or mass, measured by mass (Coriolis) or volumetric meters.
  • Documents generated automatically
Loading records, dispatch notes, shift and monthly reports and fuel movement reports — no manual logbooks.
  • Data into your ERP
Export to your accounting and ERP systems; SCADA integration via Modbus, TCP/IP and HART. Non-standard protocols on request.
  • Whole-terminal control
Tank levels, remote valve control and emergency shutdown (ESD) at any level — from one bay to the whole site.
  • Scalable and traceable
Up to 10 bays per controller, cabinets with spare capacity for future bays, user access levels and a log of every operation.
What the system does
One control system for the whole facility
  • 01

    Bay panel
A touch panel at each bay for the operator or driver.
    • Operator login
    • Loading by preset or to cutoff
    • Live flow, pressure, temperature and density
    • List of missing permissives before start
    • Deadman control during loading
  • 02

    Operator workstation
Software in the control room for the whole terminal.
    • Live card for every bay, colour-coded by state
    • Start, pause, continue and stop from the desk
    • Shift log of every operation
    • Dispatch notes linked to operations and printed from templates
    • Maintenance and service modes
  • 03

    Upper level
Integration with the systems you already run.
    • SCADA and plant DCS via Modbus, TCP/IP, HART
    • Export to accounting and ERP
    • Several control sources with priority-based handover
    • The unit obeys only the active source — no conflicting commands
Each state is shown on the panel and the workstation in its own colour, so the operator always knows what the bay is doing and why.

When loading finishes, the system waits a set time to fix the final volume and mass, then asks the operator to confirm before the record is closed.
Every fuel batch follows a defined sequence
Batch sequence
Service mode
Manual control of each device for maintenance, with control removed from all other sources.
Completed
Volume and mass fixed and confirmed; the operation goes to the shift log.
Emergency lock
Station alarm, communication or equipment fault. Reset only from the active workstation once every locking signal has cleared.
Interrupted
A permissive lost, operator pause or instrument limit: continue or stop. If the remainder is below the pre-cutoff, the batch can only be closed.
Loading
High flow, then low flow before the set dose; live volume and mass.
Ready
All permissives collected; loading starts on the start button or automatically.
Loading permitted
The system waits for every permissive and lists those still missing.
Stopped
The only state from which a new batch can be permitted.
Operator software
What the operator sees
Safety in the logic
Loading cannot start until the bay is safe
  • Tanker grounding
With circuit monitoring — no grounding, no loading.
  • Overfill protection
Overfill sensor on the loading spout stops the batch instantly.
  • Arm and gangway position
Sensors confirm the arm is in the hatch and the gangway is lowered.
  • Product temperature
Loading is blocked outside the permitted temperature range.
  • Gas detection and ESD
Gas alarms and emergency stop buttons lock the bay or the whole station.
  • Confirmed dispatch
Every start is confirmed by the operator; an unconfirmed permit is cancelled automatically.
BUILT IN-HOUSE

Control cabinets assembled and tested at our plant
PLC and power cabinets in IP or Ex d execution are wired, programmed and tested at our plant together with the equipment they control. Cabinets are built with spare capacity for future bays.

  • Up to 10 bays per controller
  • Factory acceptance test before shipment
  • Remote diagnostics of AVRON control systems after start-up
Existing terminals
Automate the bays you already have
The control system can be added to existing loading bays, including equipment from other manufacturers, and work alongside your existing plant control system: control passes between sources by request and priority, so nothing changes for the systems you keep.
